Aluminum Profile "O3R" 8ft (94") Slim Recessed Linear LED Housing

Specifically manufactured for GlowbackLED, our Aluminum Profile "O3R" is a slim and low-profile aluminum extrusion for LED strips that can easily be recessed making it a perfect solution for discretely illuminating cabinets, closets, and wall-units. Aluminum channel "O3R" can accommodate any LED strip with a width up to 0.80 Inch (20.3 mm) and properly disperse heat from the strip. The compact design allows for installation inside 1⁄2 Inch or 5⁄8 Inch drywall without having to modify framing as well as achieving evenly diffused, DOTLESS lighting throughout your space adding a modern architectural touch to your design. Applications

Aluminum Channel "O3R" is a slim and low profile that is recessable, making it perfectly suitable for discrete lighting applications with low to medium output lighting. The slim and low profile of this channel makes it a perfect solution for under-cabinet, over-cabinet, and in-cabinet linear LED lighting. Although intended mainly for indoor use, the channels can be waterproofed making them suitable for outdoor applications providing even more lighting options and versatility.

Installation

Install LED Aluminum housing "O3R" by first creating a groove or cavity in the desired cabinet, drywall, or shelf.

Mounting Methods

1. Clean mounting surface (groove) of dust and residue.

2. Apply all purpose caulking/adhesive.

3. Install assembled fixture.

1. Screw Aluminum housing into groove (counter-sink screws so LED strips have a flat surface to sit on).

2. Attach LED Strips onto Aluminum housing over counter-sunk screws.

Cutting

To cut your aluminum profiles and make your lighting fixtures a custom length, simply snap the lens onto the profile, and place the channel onto a miter saw with the lens facing down. By doing this you can easily cut both the channel and lens to your desired length at the same time. We recommend using a NEW fine tooth blade to cut your aluminum channels for LED strips. The diffuser/lens is fragile and will easily break with an old blade. The easiest way to avoid breaking a lens or diffuser is to lower the saw blade slowly while cutting.
