Our new, ultra-versatile solution for slim and compact LED fixtures, our Aluminum Extrusion "PR2" is here. Specifically engineered and designed for attractive slim finishes, this ultra modern profile features a V-shaped interior, allowing for smooth light diffusion and extra efficient heat dissipation. Aluminum Profile "PR2" is designed to be suspended, but can also be easily surface mounted. With mounting clips that sit flush to the bottom of the aluminum extrusion, our Aluminum Profile "PR2" makes it easy to achieve surface mounted light fixtures that are flush with their mounting surface. Create dot-free suspended LED lighting when paired with our high-density DOTLESS LED strips. Aluminum extrusion “PR2” can accommodate any high-output LED strip up to 0.49 Inch (12mm) wide and is designed to properly dissipate their heat. "PR2" is conveniently sold in 6.5ft (78") lengths as a completed kit including a pair of end-caps, mounting clips, suspension kit and one frosted lens. View Spec Sheet Here!

Applications

Aluminum profile "PR2" is designed to be suspended from the ceiling, but it can also be surface mounted with the included mounting clips. Its deep and narrow design make it an attractive solution for general and decorative lighting purposes in residential or commercial spaces. It is primarily designed for indoor use, but when paired with waterproof components, it can be used in outdoor applications.

Installation

With aluminum profile "PR2", one has the option of using a suspension kit, or using mounting clips.

Mounting Methods

Install in minutes with our included suspension kit. Simply screw the anchor into your desired surface, install the included aircraft cable and cut to your desired length. Before Installing the closed end-cap onto light fixture, slide cable-grip retaining screws into the rear channel of the aluminum housing. Insert End-Cap, and tighten cable-gripper onto light fixture. Aircraft cable can now be pulled into the cable-grip and adjusted to desired suspension height.

Mounting Method #2 (Mounting Clips For Surface Mounting)
With the included mounting clips installation can be done in minutes. Simply drill holes into your desired surface, and screw the mounting clips into place. Once clips are screwed onto the desired mounting surface, simply snap the aluminum profile into place.

Cutting

To cut your aluminum profiles and make your lighting fixtures a custom length, simply snap the lens onto the profile, and place the channel onto a miter saw with the lens facing down. By doing this you can easily cut both the channel and lens to your desired length at the same time. We recommend using a NEW fine tooth blade to cut your aluminum channels for LED strips. The diffuser/lens is fragile and will easily break with an old blade. The easiest way to avoid breaking a lens or diffuser is to lower the saw blade slowly while cutting.
